Karolina Berniak-Jasinska
(born in 1991) a violinist, music composer, teacher and conductor.
She graduated from the Primary General Music School of Ignacy Jan Paderewski
in Krakow (Cracow), and then the Secondary General Music School of Fryderyk Chopin in Krakow, Poland.
Then, she studied two faculties: Artistic Education in the Field of Musical Art at the University of Jan Długosz in Częstochowa, Poland and the Instrumental studies - violin at the Academy of Music of Karol Szymanowski in Katowice, Poland, where she met Lukasz Jasinski, a pianist and future husband.
After graduation, she settled in Krakow.
As a soloist, she started giving concerts as early as during her school years, she performed during vernissages of Cracovian artists and during the Stage performances of students of the Department of String Instruments at the Academy of Music in Katowice.
In 2007, 2008, 2009, as a performer, she took part in the Master Courses of Interpretation of Early Music in France,
as well as in the Courses of Interpretation of Baroque Music - Atelier de Musique Ancienne, which took place in Le Tréport, France.
In 2009, she took an active part in orchestral workshops, which included concerts in Poland (Szczecin, Kamień Pomorski), in Germany (Pasewalk, Schwedt),
and in 2011 at the International Masterclass for virtuoso violin players
in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
She has performed with many orchestras in Poland and abroad: Ostinato (France), Concerto Lamelli, Fresco Sonare, Ricercar (Italy, Hungary, Ukraine), Sinfonietta Sonora, OKSAC, Silesian Film Orchestra and with the ensembles:
Oj Tam, Name of the Rose, 2&F, and others.
As an organizer of concerts, she also fulfills the role of a conductor.
In 2018, the Choir led by her was awarded 1st place in the 16th Krakow Traditional Song and Polish Song Competition, and in 2021 the 2nd place in the next edition of this competition. Her students still win laurels in music competitions.
For her original composition Being a Man, she received a distinction at the Good Song Competition in Częstochowa in 2014, while her piece In Memory of Agnieszka Kadłuczka was appreciated by professors of the Academy of Music in Katowice and had its public premiere concert in 2013 and was studio-recorded.
Lukasz Jasinski
(born in 1987) a pianist, music composer and teacher.
He is a graduate of the Piano Department of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, where he met his future wife, Karolina Berniak-Jasinska, a violinist.
Earlier, he graduated from both the State Primary and Secondary Music School of Fryderyk Chopin in Opole, Poland, with honors - he performed the piano concerto in C-Major, Op. 15 by Ludwig van Beethoven with the Opole Philharmonic Orchestra.
